Kibowa Orphans Centre
Kibowa Orphans Centre is located in Terrat Ward, Nadosoito Village, outside of Arusha town, Tanzania and is home for over 25 children who have lost their parents. The centre is under the loving guardianship of Mama Mchome.
Over the past 8 years, Terrawatu has assisted Kibowa in completing the construction of girls and boys dormitories, growing and supplying food and potable water, installing electricity, and sponsorship of the children's education.
In 2018, construction of an office and storage facility for food and supplies was completed. Terrawatu sourced locally-made furniture for the office and storage facility.
In 2022, Terrawatu helped Kibowa completely remodel their kitchen. Ventilation was added to the space and a new, clean burning and fuel efficient stove was installed.
Terrawatu supporters continue to sponsor orphans to attend school and support their daily living requirements.
